ARC are delighted to have received planning permission for the new Spa and Fitness centre at 10 Castle Street located in Cranborne, Wimborne, Dorset.

10 Castle Street is situated on the edge of Cranborne Chase in Dorset and is a Grade II listed Palladian mansion, remodelled into a luxury hotel and private members club.

ARC was commissioned by the client to design a scheme involving the conversion and extension of the existing grade II listed coach house into a magnificent spa and fitness centre.

The design retains many original architectural features: stone walls, arched doorways and original wooden window frames form remainders of the building’s exquisite past. With a proposed total area of 3,600sqft the development includes an indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, wellness complex with treatment rooms and gym.

The team have worked extremely closely with our client, Historic England, East Dorset Council and the conservation team to achieve a fantastic design incorporating traditional features reflecting the character and charm of the eighteenth-century mansion house.
