ARC Architecture Ltd is a highly experienced and established RIBA Chartered Practice based in Dorset.
Our studio is ideally placed to work across the South of England, with easy access to London and the Home Counties. We also have a strong track record of delivering projects nationally and internationally.

Our process
At ARC, the initial design phase is where we truly get to know you. Through an in-person or telephone consultation with one of our lead designers, we delve into your aspirations for the project. This crucial stage allows us to understand both your vision and the opportunities and constraints presented by the site.
By aligning your goals with our expertise, we ensure a tailored approach that maximizes the potential of your project from the very beginning.
The conceptual design phase at ARC is where our diverse team truly shines. Bringing together expertise from both technical and design backgrounds, we put pen to paper to create a proposal tailored to your needs. Through an iterative process, we refine the design, offering professional advice on planning, development, and construction feasibility.
This collaborative approach ensures a concept that is both innovative and practical, aligning with your vision while addressing the project's opportunities and constraints.
In the design development phase at ARC, our team prepares a finalized set of planning drawings. This stage involves collaborating with necessary consultants to ensure all aspects are addressed, paving the way for a smooth planning submission. While this phase solidifies the project’s foundation, it remains open to changes.
We continue to refine and adapt the design, ensuring it meets all requirements and aligns with your vision, maintaining flexibility to accommodate any necessary adjustments.
The planning submission phase involves submitting the final drawings to the local authority. This can be managed either in-house by our experienced planning coordinator or through an external planning consultant. We work closely with you and the local authority throughout this process to work towards an approved scheme.
Our comprehensive approach and expertise facilitate a smooth and efficient planning submission, aligning with all regulatory requirements and project goals.
We offer both building regulations and construction drawings that cover all aspects of the construction process. Our team collaborates closely with you and the contractor to ensure that all technical specifications meet the highest standards and align with your project goals. We also liaise with building control to ensure that all technical aspects comply with current building regulations.
This collaborative and thorough approach ensures a smooth transition from design to construction, minimizing potential issues and delays.
While ARC is not directly involved with the construction and handover stages, we are committed to supporting you throughout the entire process. We can advise on selecting qualified contractors to take the project forward and are always available to offer guidance and support until the project's completion.
